Homemade Potato Chips

Homemade Potato Chips in the microwave, super easy recipe, and only uses a few ingredients that will already be in your pantry or store cupboard.

Equipment

  • Mandolin or Peeler
  • Ziploc Bag
  • Large Plate
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cooking Spray
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Large Potato thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Pour the vegetable oil into a Ziploc or plastic bag, add the potato slices, and shake until all the slices are fully coated with oil.
  • Lightly grease a large plate with cooking oil spray and lay the potato slices in a single layer on the plate (cook in smaller batches to ensure no slices overlap).
  • Cook in the microwave on high for 3-5 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Place the chips in a large bowl, sprinkle with the salt, and toss them until evenly seasoned.
  • Repeat with the remaining potato slices until they are all cooked.
  • The chips will become crispy as they cool down.
