Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 6 Chicken Wings
  • 1 Garlic Clove minced
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ginger grated
  • 1 Scallion minced
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325F/160C.
  • Remove the wing tip from each chicken wing, then cut each wing in half (at the joint).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and honey. Mix together.
  • Next add the garlic, ginger, and cayenne and mix together until fully combined.
  • Add the chicken wings to the mixture and stir to coat them completely in the sauce.
  • Cover the bowl and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the bowl over the wings.
  • Place the chicken wings in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked thoroughly (finish them on the grill for a little extra crispiness).
  • Serve with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, sliced scallions, and chopped fresh parsley.
