Preheat the oven to 425F/220C and lightly grease the casserole dish.
Place the ground pork, ground beef, bacon and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl.
Next, add the eggs, ricotta cheese, parsley, fennel seeds and oregano.
Mix well using a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are fully combined.
Now form 12 meatballs from the mixture using your hands, press firmly. Place the meatballs in the casserole dish.
Bake for 1 hour, remove from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 325F/160C.
Pour the canned tomatoes over the meatballs, spreading evenly.
Return to the oven and bake for a further 1 hour.
Remove from the oven, scatter the parmesan cheese over the top, followed with the parsley.
Serve with salad or pasta.
