STORAGE: Baked Meatballs

REHEATING: Baked Meatballs

OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 15 minutes

MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave dish and cook on full power for 2-3 minutes.

Baked Meatballs RECIPE

INGREDIENTS  

1 lb Ground Pork

1 lb Ground Beef

3 Slices Bacon (chopped)

3 Cups Bread Crumbs

3 Eggs

3 Tbsp Ricotta Cheese

1 Tbsp Parsley (chopped)

1 Tsp Fennel Seeds

1 Tsp Oregano

1 Tsp Sea Salt

1 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes

1 Can Tomatoes (diced)

1 Cup Parmesan Cheese (shredded)

Parsley for Garnish

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Preheat the oven to 425F/220C and lightly grease the casserole dish.

2. Place the ground pork, ground beef, bacon and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl.

3. Next, add the eggs, ricotta cheese, parsley, fennel seeds and oregano.

4. Mix well using a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are fully combined.

5. Now form 12 meatballs from the mixture using your hands, press firmly. Place the meatballs in the casserole dish.

6. Bake for 1 hour, remove from the oven and reduce the oven temperature to 325F/160C.

7. Pour the canned tomatoes over the meatballs, spreading evenly.

8. Return to the oven and bake for a further 1 hour.

9. Remove from the oven, scatter the parmesan cheese over the top, followed with the parsley.

10. Serve with salad or pasta.
