FRIDGE: Place in an airtight container and store for up to 2-3 days.
FREEZER: Place in an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
STOVE: Place in a saucepan, and cook for 3-6 minutes, stirring frequently.
OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 5-10 minutes
MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave dish and cook on full power for 1 minute.
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1/2 White Onion (chopped)
2 Celery Stalks (sliced)
2 Cloves Garlic (chopped)
8 Cups Water
4 Teaspoons Chicken Bouillon (or broth)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 Cabbage (sliced and chopped)
1 Can Stewed Tomatoes (drained and diced)
10 Cherry Tomatoes (halved)
1 Tablespoons Fresh Parsley
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat.
2. Add the chopped onions, garlic and celery. Stir together and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the onion is softened and transparent.
3. Next pour in the water and chicken bouillon, add the salt and pepper and stir. Bring to a boil.
4. Stir in the chopped cabbage. Simmer for 10 minutes, until the cabbage is softened.
5. Add in the stewed tomatoes, bring to a boil again and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently.
6. Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes on the top. Simmer for a further 5 minutes, until the cherry tomatoes are softened.
7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with crusty bread.
