VARIATIONS: Egg Roll in a Bowl 

This keto egg roll in a bowl is easy to customize to suit everyone’s taste!

  • Bacon: Top with crumbled bacon or mix some in with the ground beef before baking.
  • Meat: Substitute ground beef for turkey, pork, chicken, fish, or tofu.
  • Vegetables: Use vegetables you have to hand such as cauliflower, broccoli, or green beans.
  • Pasta: Try it with macaroni, penne, tagliatelle, fusilli (twirly pasta) or farfalle (bow tie pasta).
  • Spice: Add a bit of spice, like paprika, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, or ginger.
  • Seeds: Add in some seeds such as Chia Seeds or Flaxseed for extra healthiness.

STOVETOP: Place in a saucepan, and heat on medium heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 10-12 minutes

MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave-safe dish and cook on full power for 1-2 minutes.

Egg Roll in a Bowl RECIPE

INGREDIENTS 

(2 Servings)
400 g Ground Beef
4 Cups of Green Cabbage (thinly sliced)
1 Carrot (shredded)
1/2 Cups of Chopped Onion
1 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
2 Tbsp of Coconut Aminos
1/4 Cup of Green Onions (thinly sliced)
2 Tbsp of Sesame Oil
Salt & Pepper to Taste


INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Heat the sesame oil in a pan on medium heat.

2. Add the ground beef, salt, and pepper and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and thoroughly cooked.

3. Next, add the chopped onions, shredded carrots, and minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the onions are browned.

4. Add in the thinly sliced green cabbage and mix everything well.

5. Cook for a further 7-8 minutes, until the cabbage begins to soften.

6. Serve in a bowl and garnish with the sliced green onions.
