STORAGE: TURKEY BOLOGNESE

FRIDGE: Place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.

FREEZER: Place in an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.

REHEATING: TURKEY BOLOGNESE

OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 15-20 minutes

MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave dish and cook on full power for 3-4 minutes.

TURKEY BOLOGNESE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS  

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Tbsp Butter

1 Yellow Onion (diced)

1 Carrot (diced)

2 Garlic Cloves (diced)

8 oz Ground Turkey

1 tsp Sea Salt

1 tsp Black Pepper

1 tsp Paprika

1 tsp Cinnamon

1 tsp Oregano

1 Tbsp Tomato Paste

1 Can Diced Tomatoes

1/2 Cup Parsley (chopped)

2 Bay Leaf

1 Cup Parmesan Cheese

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil and 1 Tbsp of butter in a large frypan/skillet.

2. Add the diced yellow onion, chopped carrot and chopped garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

3. Break up the ground turkey in to the pan, add the sea salt and black pepper, next add the Paprika Cinnamon and Oregano.

4. Stir until fully mixed and cook until the ground turkey is browned and fully cooked and the onions are fully softened.

5. Add the tomato paste and pour in the canned tomatoes. Stir until fully mixed and add the parsley and bay leaves.

6. Stir well to fully mix together all the ingredients, bring to a simmer. Simmer for a further 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Mix the parmesan cheese through the mixture and serve over pasta.
