Simple, and hassle-free this is a great dish for all the family to enjoy and they are just as delicious as the Chinese restaurant too!
The marinade can be used for all kinds of chicken cuts to give it a Chinese flavor. You could even use thin-cut beef or pork strips.
Plus, this is a perfect meal to cook in a slow cooker or crock pot, just dump everything in and cook on low for up to 6 hours.
FRIDGE: Place in an airtight container and store for up to 2-3 days.
FREEZER: Place in an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 10-15 minutes
MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave-safe dish and cook on full power for 1-2 minutes.
6 Chicken Wings
1 Garlic Clove (minced)
1/2 Teaspoon Ginger (grated)
1 Scallion (minced)
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
2 Tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Honey
1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley (chopped)
How to Make Oriental Chicken Wings
1. Preheat the oven to 325F/160C.
2. Remove the wing tip from each chicken wing, then cut each wing in half (at the joint).
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and honey. Mix together.
4. Next add the garlic, ginger, and cayenne and mix together until fully combined.
5. Add the chicken wings to the mixture and stir to coat them completely in the sauce.
6. Cover the bowl and marinate for 30 minutes.
7. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet. Drizzle any remaining sauce from the bowl over the wings.
8. Place the chicken wings in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes. Turn the wings over and bake for 15-20 minutes until browned and cooked thoroughly (finish them on the grill for a little extra crispiness).
9. Serve with a sprinkling of sesame seeds, sliced scallions, and chopped fresh parsley.
