4 Large Turkey Wings
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Ginger (minced)
1 tsp Garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
3 Tbsp Mirin
3 Tbsp Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Water (cold)
Green Onions (sliced)
Sesame seeds
1. Preheat the oven to 375F/190C, and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
2. First prepare the teriyaki sauce, place all the ingredients for the sauce (soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, honey, sesame oil, mirin, cornstarch, and water) in a small saucepan and mix them together until fully combined.
3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, once boiled reduce to low heat and lightly simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
4. Next, cut the tips of each wing off, and cut each wing in half through the joint.
5. Lay the turkey wings in the prepared dish and baste them on both sides with the teriyaki sauce.
6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
7. Remove from the oven and uncover, remove any accumulated fat, and baste the turkey again with the teriyaki sauce.
8. Turn the oven to 400F/205C and cook the wings uncovered for a further 10-15 minutes.
9. Remove the from the oven and baste with the teriyaki sauce again, and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
10. Sprinkle with the sliced green onions and sesame seeds and serve.
