Pasta Bread Bowl

This particular pasta bread bowl is perfect for a quick and easy meal. All you need is some pasta, some bread, and a few ingredients to make this dish.

Crispy bacon in a cheese sauce over pasta, then all packed in a bread bowl and topped with parmesan.

There is nothing quite like a bowl of warm pasta with fresh bread.

If you want to make this dish even easier, you can just use premade bread bowl ingredients. Just make sure to heat the ingredients before assembling the bowl.

If you prefer a different pasta you can use any, just precook it for this recipe.

STORAGE

FRIDGE: Place in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3-5 days.

FREEZER: Place in a few airtight containers and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

REHEATING:

OVEN: Place in an ovenproof dish and cover, cook at 350F/180C for 15 minutes

MICROWAVE: Place in a microwave dish and cook on full power for 2-3 minutes.

Pasta Bread Bowl Recipe

INGREDIENTS  

30 ml & 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

6 Bacon Slices (cut into pieces)

40g Flour

200 ml Beer

75 ml Milk

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 Tsp Sea Salt (pinch)

1/2 Tsp Black Pepper (pinch)

150g Cheddar Cheese (grated)

250g Macaroni (cooked)

1 Bread Boule/Bowl

4 Tbsp Garlic Butter (melted)

75g Parmesan Cheese (grated)

1 Tbsp Breadcrumbs

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Preheat the oven to 350F/180C and lightly grease a large baking sheet.

2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet/fry pan and add the bacon pieces, fry until browned,

3. Add the remaining olive oil and heat slightly, next add most of the flour approximately 30g and mix well. When fully mixed in add the remaining flour and mix again.

4. Next add the beer and milk, mix well, then thoroughly stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper and grated cheddar.

5. Now add in the cooked macaroni (or other pasta) and stir in well, set aside.

6. To prepare the bread boule, slice off the top, cut into four slices and set it aside. Hollow out the center of the boule to make a bowl.

7. Fill the hollow of the boule with the pasta, brush the bowl and the slices with the melted garlic butter.

8. Top with grated parmesan and breadcrumbs.

9. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven
